JUNIOR CHASE STASTNY LEADS JV BOWLING WITH CAREER HIGH 187 GAME AT NORDONIA KNIGHTS JV INVITATIONAL
On December 20th, the Junior Varsity Bowling team placed 15th at the Nordonia Knights JV Invitational held at North Woods Lanes. The Hornets scored 1858 (641-513-704) in the individual games and 750 (132-147-116-133-104-118) in the Baker games, for a total pin fall of 2608.
Highland was led by Junior Chase Stastny, who bowled a 453, including a blistering 187 in his final game (151-115-187). This was the Hornets' high game of the day and Stastny's career high, landing him in 38th place among 108 bowlers.
Sophomore Geo Kerechanin also logged a career high game of 162 en route to a 429 (162-119-148), placing 42nd overall.
Freshman Logan DeVoe tallied a three game series of 397 (129-115-153), placing 48th.
Senior Aubrey Seiberling scored a two game series of 219 (111-108).
Freshman Ben Cavanaugh bowled 196 (88-108) in his two games.
Sophomore Aiden Kenner (94) and Freshman Mason Everly (70) also contributed, as did all 7 bowlers in the solid Baker performance.
The squad returns to the lanes on January 6th for a Suburban League dual with the Tallmadge Blue Devils at Station 300.
