The Junior Varsity Bowling team chalked up their 2nd victory of the season defeating Suburban League foe Kent-Roosevelt 1333-1222. The Hornets led wire-to-wire over the Rough Riders, jumping to a 104-pin lead after the first game. Highland rolled 1015 (536-479) in the individual games to Kent's 845 (432-413). The Hornets closed out the game with a 318 (110-82-126) in the Baker round to the Rough Riders 377 (161-103-113). Senior Aubrey Seiberling was celebrated on Senior Night and bowled a two-game series of 202 (91-111), logging 5 spares in her second game. Sophomore Aiden Kenner led the team with his 217 (129-88) series and Highland's high game for the night, which he kicked off with a Double. Single game bowlers were led by Freshmen Logan DeVoe, with a 115, and Mason Everly with a 109. Sophomore Geo Kerechanin was next with a 97, while Junior Chase Stastny was close behind with a 96. Freshmen Connor Skomski (92) and Ben Cavanaugh (87) rounded out the victory. After Highland gained a big lead in the first round, there was little suspense in the Bakers. Everly started off two Baker games with strikes, while Stastny also contributed 2 strikes. Senior Seiberling fired up the crowd with a strike of her own in the first Baker game and DeVoe also knocked down a strike. The Hornets take on the Brecksville Bees on Wednesday at AMF Riviera Lanes.
