Junior Davis Slatkovsky Leads Varsity Bowling in Brecksville Match

JUNIOR DAVIS SLATKOVSKY LEADS VARSITY BOWLING IN BRECKSVILLE MATCH

On Wednesday, the Varsity Bowling team was stung by the Bees 2046-2395 at AMF Riviera, snapping a 3-game winning streak. In the individual games, the Hornets rolled a 1547 (759-788) versus Brecksville's 1849 (879-970). The Bees then further outscored Highland 546 (191-181-174) to 499 (182-170-147) in the Baker games. The team was led by Junior Davis Slats with a 375 (148-227), logging a Hambone in Highland's high game for the evening. Junior Gracie Dunne followed with a 335 (172-163). Senior Andrew Talpas bowled 325 (177-148), with a Turkey in his first game. Junior Lucas Less rounded out the two-game bowlers with a 309 (164-145). Juniors Ryan Potak (105) and Ryan Paulus (98) also contributed for the Hornets. The first two Baker games each started off with Turkeys, highlighting the round. Individually, everyone knocked down at least one strike. Slats led with 5, Dunne and Potak each tallied 3, Paulus racked up 2 and Talpas & Less each contributed one. The Hornets look to bounce back on Sunday when they travel to Rollhouse Parma for the Eagle Challenge baker tournament hosted by North Olmsted.
